Getting your beer into a glass.
Dispensing is the third part of our look at Kegging. from part 1 and part2 we learned how to Carbonate and Balance our beer lines. Now for the fun part – pouring. Not all beers are created equal in the beer foam department. Some will have little head retention others thick and long lasting.
To give foam its best chance, The Pope of foam, Dr. Charles Bamforth, recommends that you “pour with Vigour” creating a large amount of foam. Wait for some of the liquid to drain from the foam then top up. This could take 7-10 minutes, but you will be rewarded for you patience with a head of foam that can last to the last drop.
